Green Lake School District (Green Lake, WI)
Green Lake School District is a rural district in Wisconsin that offers a PreK-12 IB program. Teacher teams use the AIW framework and scoring process to improve their IB units and lesson plans. In the summer of 2016, Bruce, Laura, GLSD’s superintendent and a HS English teacher presented about this collaboration at IB’s Conference of the Americas in Toronto, Canada.

Oconomowoc High School (Oconomowoc, WI)

Oconomowoc High School is a midsized suburban high school located west of Milwaukee, WI. This fall, three pilot teams were trained to use the AIW framework and scoring process to help improve their instruction and support the goals of Universal

Design for Learning (UDL). Because feedback from participating teachers was so positive, AIW was introduced to the entire faculty during the second semester. The pilot team members are serving as anchors, or facilitators, of the new AIW teams.

Kelliher Public School

Kelliher Public School (Kelliher, MN)

  • Developing a deep understanding of the AIW framework and the scoring process.
  • Training local coaches that support AIW implementation with their colleagues through professional learning teams.
  • Trained coaches to collect data that guides their work related to AIW. 
  • Offered targeted training around AIW standards such as Substantive Conversation, Higher Order Thinking and Value Beyond School.
  • Facilitated collaboration with other AIW school in the area.
